Where the data comes from

The ladderis read from the game's own ranked leaderboards and match histories, captured on a schedule throughout the day and processed by a recognition pipeline that turns each capture into rows. Captures are de-duplicated, movements are computed between consecutive boards, and every match keeps the template, the in-game length and, since the 30 September 2026 reset, both players' factions. We publish only the current season; earlier seasons stay on file but never mix into the numbers you see.

The databaseis generated from the game's data files for a named Steam build, and regenerated when a patch ships. Nothing in it is typed by hand, which is why a stat here can be checked against the build id printed under it.

The Meta Pulseis written every morning from that day's ladder data: a model drafts the report, and the draft is checked line by line against the numbers it was given before anything is published. Every figure in a Meta Pulse exists in the data it links to. Staff articles and guides are written by people.

How to read the numbers

• Ratingis the game's own ranked rating, as it stood at the latest capture. Everyone restarted at 1000 on 30 September 2026.
• Percentiles("Top 1%", "Top 10%") rank a player by rating among every player tracked this season. The Meta and Factions tabs can be narrowed to those same brackets, so "what the Top 10% play" means exactly the players wearing that label.
• Win rates from fewer than 10 games are shown greyed out: a hint, not a verdict. Faction win rates leave out mirror matches, which say nothing about the faction.
• Tiers on the tier list follow from win rate alone, over a minimum sample, with the thresholds printed on the page. Nobody votes.
• "Unknown" is a game the ladder recorded without a map template. Arena is played on one map and records no factions, so it has no map meta and no faction tab.

For streamers: a chat command

Any chat bot that can fetch a URL can answer !oe <player>with one line about that player's season — rank, rating, record, streak and a link to the profile. Add it once:

Add &ladder=classic, arena or single_heroto pin one mode; without it the player's best-ranked ladder answers. The endpoint returns plain text and is rate limited per bot.

Corrections and removals

A capture can misread a character in a name or a number in a score. If you spot one, or would rather your in-game name did not appear here, write to contact@oldenera.gg with the page in question. Tournament organisers and content creators who want their events or channels covered are welcome at the same address.
