Lore

Mara Mat’ha was instrumental in forming the Schismatics’ Recon Cavalry during their first brutal northern winter. When traditional mounts failed, he devised a ritual to bond riders with Rift slugs — hardy beasts immune to the cold.

By splitting his mind and leaving part of it in the Abyss, he created a sacrament that merged his instincts with an aga’shoth. This transformation reshaped him, and so he took on a title that simply means “Blood Brother.”
