Goldentongue sought out the Dragonfly King himself, craving more than mere survival. A petty thief and con‑artist, he offered his services in exchange for the gift of sweet speech. The Dragonfly King granted this wish, giving him a magical tongue that can sway even the unwilling. Unlike others in the service of the King, Goldentongue controls the Song and can break free from the Hive’s grasp — though he sees no reason to do so.
